Alan Ray Chaffin, 26, passed away December 17, 2015 at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas. The son of Jimmy and Michelle LeShore, he was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on January 16, 1989. He was a glass glazer and fabricator for Sturgeon Glass Company.
A native of Hutchinson, he attended Hutchinson schools. He loved to skateboard, compete in paintball excursions, listened to rap and techno while "boarding," and enjoyed the calm, quiet times he spent fishing. His constant companions were his brother, Zavien, and Polo, his Chihuahua.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Michelle LeShore, 4 brothers, Jamie, Jordan, Joseph, and, Zavien LeShore, all of Hutchinson, Ks; 2 sisters, Chelsey Chaffin of Hutchinson, Ks, Alexis LeShore, Lyons, Ks; grandparents, Ernest and Toby Mendoza of South Hutchinson, Ks, Bert and Pam Chaffin of Buhler, Ks. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, and grandfather, Carlos Mendoza.
A gathering for family and friends will be Monday, December 28, 2015 from 9:00 AM - Noon at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Ks with a celebration of life to follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Fairlawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has established the Alan Ray Chaffin Family Memorial Fund and gifts may be left in care of the funeral home.
