Alice Jones
TANEY COUNTY - Alice (Mina) Jones, 84, died May 27, 2011, at Pretty Prairie Sunset Rest Home. She was born Aug. 15, 1926, to George Lee Andrew and Bessie Jones. She was the oldest of 10 children.
Survivors include: sons, Bobby and his wife Bea Skaggs, Arkadelphia, Ark., and Henry and wife Lynne Skaggs; a daughter, Bonita and husband Doyle, Plevna; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and all of her siblings.
Mina was a hard worker all her life and even helped raise her nine siblings. She worked at Boeing Aircraft for many years, building the wings for B-52s. She was also a partner in an upholstery business. She was a live-in caregiver for Gladys Dellenbach of Abbyville. Mina's favorite hobby while living at Sunrise Acre in South Hutch for sixteen years was ceramics and being close to friends.
