Grandma went to Heaven to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and savior. Arietta May Miles, born June 22, 1920, in Hutchinson, KS, died November 30, 2011 in her home at Golden Years Senior Care Center. Grandma was a child of God. She was baptized in Houston, TX in a Baptist Church.
Throughout her long life she cared for her husband, Lawrence "Buck" Miles, her children and her grandchildren. She was a homemaker. She made everyone feel welcome in her home.
After Grandpa Buck went to Heaven, Grandma opened her home to many family and friends in need.
Grandma''s heart was filled with love for her three children; sons Larie Miles (Pat) and Jerry Miles, and daughter Helen Becker (Bert), all from Hutchinson; her five grandchildren, Christena Weber, Lori Hirt, Ruth Handy, Tracy Miles, all from Kansas, and Chad Durham from New Mexico; her 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Leroy Miles, from Hutchinson, and niece, Betty Williams, from Washington; great nephew, Mike Miles, and great niece, Tina Miles, both from Kansas.
Grandma is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Milies; sister-in-law Gladys Walker; brothers George, Fred, Ned, and Virgil Brewer, and a sister.
During the last few years of Grandma''s life, she was adamant about expressing her love for her Lord. She would witness in the dining hall to others around her. She encouraged her grandchildren to live for Jesus. We will rejoice one day with her in Heaven. Until then, our hearts will miss her and the love she expressed.
