Arlene Wingert was born in Bucklin, Kansas on May 17, 1921, the fourth child of nine to Samual and Elsie Mae Byres Hurley. She passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Arlene attended grade school and high school in Bucklin, Kansas. She and Robert Wingert were married in March of 1942 in San Rafael, California. She lived her working life in Hutchinson, Kansas. She retired and was a resident of Love County, Oklahoma for many years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Wingert, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her son, Leroy Dean Wingert of Rose Bud, Arkansas; daughters, Carol Tompkins of Austin, Texas, and Joleen Wingert of Hutchinson, Kansas; 6 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, Kansas on January 18, 2017 at 2 p.m.
