Barbara L. Lancaster, 67, earned her heavenly wings July 12, 2019 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas.  The daughter of Leonard and Norma Hill, she was born June 24, 1952 in Garden City, Kansas.  She was a dedicated homemaker to her family.

A member of The Church of the Brethren of Hutchinson, Kansas, she was devoted to her family, particularly, her grandchildren and ALL of their events- she never missed a one!

On September 19, 1971 she married the love of her life, Charles Dean Lancaster in Ulysses, Kansas.  After nearly 48 years of marriage, he survives of the home.

Other survivors include 3 daughters, Brandy Lancaster ( Jeffry Nichols ), Dawn ( Keith ) Dirks, Dena Lancaster; 3 sisters, Susan Britton, Mary Jo Dimmit, Terry Ann ( Dennis ) Scott, 9 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held, Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren, 1600 North Severance, Hutchinson, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Church of the Brethren or the Reno County Animal Shelter and left in care of Old Mission -Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.
