Barbara Jean Strasburg, 74, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home on June 27, 2020. She was born in Newkirk, Oklahoma on November 1, 1945, the daughter of Wesley and Evelyn Dorman.

She was a dedicated homemaker and taking care of her family was what she lived for.  She lived most of her life in Lyons, Kansas before moving to McPherson, Kansas.

On July 15, 1972 she married Richard E. Strasburg.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, 2 daughters, Tammy Strasburg of McPherson, Kansas and Kelly ( Randy) Freed of Silver Lake, Kansas; 2 sons, Mark ( Nancy) Strasburg of Topeka, Kansas and Scott ( Anita) Strasburg of Bendena, Kansas; 1 brother, Wayne ( Betty) Dorman of Arkansas City, Kansas; 10 grandchildren, Heather ( Steve) Schlueter, Dawn ( Andy) Vopata, Trevor Thompson, Anthony Strasburg, Nicholas Strasburg, Jillian ( Robbie) Dugger, Stephanie ( Ryan ) Wilhoit, Jason ( Jeannie) Freed, Ryan ( Jackie) Freed, Travis ( Trista) Freed; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, William and Robert Dorman, 1 sister, Judy Dorman.

A celebration of life will be held on July 25, 2020 in Lyons, Kansas - further details on this event will follow soon.
