Beatrice Kay Metcalfe, 53, passed away at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas on November 18, 2016. The daughter of Ray and Katie Dowell, she was born may 2, 1963 at Fort Riley, Kansas.

A member of Legacy Bible Church, she loved doing arts and crafts, had a knack for fixing anything, cars, knick knacks, woodworking projects, loved listening to music, being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. She was employed for 20 years at Tony's Pizza Service in Salina and employed 8 years at Footlocker Corporation as one of the few women in maintenance.

Survivors include a son, Joshua Ray Bradbury; a daughter, Bobbie Kay Bradbury; a brother, Forrest "Ray" (Diane) Dowell; 2 sisters, Belinda Dowell, and Shelly (Allen) McCoy; a special friend, Terry Thomas; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Norma Talbot.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Legacy Bible Church, 2005 N. Hendricks, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Beatrice Kay Metcalfe Memorial Fund and may be left in care of Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas.
