Billy Eugene Graves, 85, passed away July 19, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at Diversicare Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Hutchinson, Kansas.  The son of Martin and Dollie Graves, he was born on July 25, 1933 in Marysville, Indiana.  He was the owner and operator of Graves Tree Service in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Known around his neighborhood as "The Bread Man", he loved to make people laugh and loved being the center of attention.  He was also known as a clocksmith- he had the talent to make homemade clocks and paid attention to the slightest detail.  He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.  In his youth, he ran moonshine and earned the nickname " Kentucky Hillbilly".  He truly loved his family.

He married Rachel Ida Swartz and she preceded him in death.  He later married Carol Simmons and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include:  2 sons, Billy Graves, Steven (Cheryl) Graves; 4 daughters, Connie (Mike) Stewart, Lula Darlene (Jim) Wesley, Janetta Faye (Don) White, Debbie (Jeff) Walker; 3 sisters, Judy, Betty, and Patty Bullocks; 16 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rachel, brothers, David Graves, Jimmy Graves, Johnny ( Graves) Bobbit, and J.D. Bullocks, sisters Kay and Patty, 1 daughter in law, Bonnie, 1 grandson, Billy Jr., 1 great granddaughter, Nina, and 1 great-great granddaughter, Calie.

A celebration of Life will be at the Victorious Life Church, 1200 East 10th, Hutchinson, Kansas, on July 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
