Bonnie Lou (Tinsley) Russell, 90, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Hutchinson on July 13, 2016. She was born in rural Canton, Kansas, the daughter of Charlie and May Tinsley.

Bonnie Lou married Delton Russell on November 23, 1947 at her parent''s home in Canton, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together on a farm near Galva, Kansas. They shared 61 wonderful years together until his passing July 14, 2009. Bonnie and Delton were blessed with the birth of their four sons.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Dick (Jane) Russell, Hutchinson, Roy Russell, Sterling, John Russell, New York, New Jersey, Alan (LeeAnn) Russell, Olathe; brothers, Alvin Tinsley, McPherson, Galen (Delaine) Tinsley, Canton; sister, Maida Laughlin, Canton, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Bonnie loved life, she loved people, animals, and plants, anything that lived. She was a faithful member of Galva United Methodist Church. She was loved by all and will be missed greatly.

A celebration of life will take place at Galva United Methodist Church at 302 S. McPherson Street, Galva, KS on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service. Graveside to follow at Canton Township Cemetery, Canton, KS.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Galva United Methodist Church, Reno County Humane Society or Hospice House, Hutchinson, and left in care of the funeral home.
