Brian K. Gandy, 35, passed away November 5, 2017 at St. Francis - Via Christi Hospital, Wichita, Kansas, after a short illness. He was born June 22, 1982 in Pocatello, Idaho and lived in Hutchinson, Kansas most of his life. His parents are Karl Gandy and Kyline and Ron Soller of Newton, Kansas.
He was highly skilled at many trades and was an avid custom car builder. His work is well known among area collectors. He was a member of the Backyard Customs Car Club. He graduated from Hutchinson Community College with an Associate Degree in manufacturing engineering.
Brian is survived by 5 children, Zakery, Tobyas, Chloe, Cooper, and, Dakota; his parents; brothers, Roger (Ann) Gandy, Xavier and Tyrone Soller; sisters, Tabetha (Bruce) Bywaters, and, Alexis Soller; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several grandparents, aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Prairie Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1809 E. 30th Street, Hutchinson, Kansas. Friends may visit and sign the guest register Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Brian Gandy Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
