Bryan David Carlton, 42, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 25, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was born January 9, 1976 in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Dennis and Sandy Carlton. He was owner operator of Arktec Networks in Hutchinson, Kansas.
A 1994 graduate of Hutchinson High School, he was a veteran of the United States Navy. While in High School he was a member of the drum line and became drummer for the praise band at Hutchinson First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed collecting and watching movies, and was a lover of all kinds of music. He was willing to help anyone that needed assistance with computers, was a lover of animals, and had a refined palate that appreciated gourmet foods. His daughter, Claire, was the center of his world.
In 2004 Bryan suffered a life altering bicycle accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down and on a ventilator. However, given the circumstance, he adapted and lived as an example of how to move forward with life.
Survivors include his daughter, Claire; parents, Dennis and Sandy Carlton; 2 sisters, Sara (Danny) Lizalde, Ally (TJ) Perez; 1 nephew, Eli. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Floy Carlton, Paul and Ruth Gehrke.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Hutchinson First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 N. Monroe, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Claire Carlton Education Fund at Heartland Credit Union, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson, Kansas is in charge of local arrangements.
