Calvin "Joe" Wilkins, 72, died February 2, 2012 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born in Cave City, Arkansas on January 4, 1940 to Marshall Neil and Vida M. (Roach) Wilkins. On July 6, 1983 he maarried Debra "Debbi" Young in Searcy, Arkansas. Mr. Wilkins was a retired social worker and former Assistant Director of the Wilbur D. Mills Treatment Center, Searcy, AR. He was a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Wilkins. He is survived by his wife, Debbi; daughter, Tammie Jo Wilkins-Lewallen of Batesville, AR; granddaughter, Alicia Starr Wilkins and great-grandchildren, Logan Wilkins and Jacob Vance of Navarre, FL; and a brother, Edward "Bill" (Peggy) Wilkins of Benton, AR. Visitation is scheduled Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with the family being present from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 9,2012 at 11:00a.m. at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home with minister Jimie- Wray Mead officiating. Interment will be at Peace Creek Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.. The family has established memorials to Eastwood Church of Christ or the Calvin J. Wilkins Memorial Fund. Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
