Carol Jean Adamson was born Feb. 4, 1934 in Hutchinson, Ks. to Edward Eugene and Stella Opal (Beard) McInturff. She died on April 13, 2011 at Hospice House, Hutchinson at the age of 77. Carol graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1952 and remained active in class activities. Although she worked in many professions, she was a collector of people, a curator of relationships. Whether telling a funny story or caring for someone in a time of need, she gave everyone she touched a reason to smile.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to mourn her passing, a son, Bruce (Carol) Miller of Hutchinson; 2 daughters, Kristi King of Wichita, Ks. and Rodeana Garon of Andover, Ks.; one brother, Gerry McInturff of South Hutchinson, Ks.; 5 grandchildren, Amy (Kelly) Whitson, Bryan Miller, Matt King, Kyle Robertson and Taylor Garon; 3 great-greandchildren, Hannah and Rheagan Whitson and Jaxen Miller.
A memorial fund has been established to the family.
