Carolyn Sue Sams, 63, passed away November 27, 2016 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born in Wilder, Kansas April 23, 1953, the daughter of Coleman and Clara Sams. She was a 31 year employee for American Packaging here in Hutchinson, Kansas.

In her spare time she loved to work with her flowers in her garden, enjoyed doing crochet work while listening to her favorite country western or old fashion rock n roll music. Her main focus was her family - they were everything to her.

She is survived by 1 son, Brian Culver and his partner, Jason Spencer; 1 daughter Renee Mason and her husband, James; 1 sister, Virginia Adams and her husband, Jerry; 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and 1 brother, Olen Edgar Sams.

A gathering for friends will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. A celebration of life will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Jason Mason presiding. Burial will follow at Wilmead Cemetery, Nickerson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hospice House of Reno County or American Cancer Society and left in care of the funeral home.
