Charlene Rae Roberts, 67, passed away April 14, 2016 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Charles and Irene Browning, she was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 26, 1948. She was a former machinist for Cessna Aircraft.

She was a member of the MOOSE Lodge, loved country music, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and crochet. Charlene and her husband, John were fixtures at the Hutchinson roller rink where they would waltz on skates and teach any and all skaters their favorite skating patterns. Charlene and Steve would spend countless hours at the lake fishing and spending quality time on the water.

She married John R. Farrell in July of 1966. He passed away in May of 1995. On July 28, 2001 she married Steve Roberts in Hutchinson, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2010. Other survivors include 3 daughters, Margo Sue (Wayne) Freeman, Kimberly Kay Farrell, and, Misty Goldberry; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Jimmy John Farrell.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family has established the following memorial funds, Reno County Animal Shelter and Hospice House of Reno County. Gifts may be left in care of the funeral home.
