Cheryl Lynn Pinkston Berends, 56, passed away September 4, 2016 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Charles and Dorothy Pinkston, she was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on November 4, 1959.

A graduate of Hutchinson High School, she also attended Hutchinson Community College and became a medical aide. She loved NASAR, and was an avid supporter of her family at the dirt track in Hutchinson and Wichita. Her grandchildren and her boys were her life.

She is survived by 2 sons, Rickey, Jr. (Emily), and Justin (Cherish) Branscom; 1 sister, Carole (Doug) Miller; 3 brothers Gary Pinkston (Sherlene), Chester (Debbie) and Jesse (Betty) Pinkston; 4 grandchildren, Abie Branscom, Sierra Branscom, Natalie Branscom, Allison Branscom, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Pinkston, and, sisters, Alice and Gladys May Pinkston.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Full Gospel Church, 414 E. Avenue G, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established and gifts may be made to the Cheryl Lynn Berends Memorial Fund.
