Cindy Faye Herzog, 56, of Hutchinson, Kansas, left this life to be with her Lord Jesus on May 9, 2020 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born May 11, 1963 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of J.C. and Darlene Ray.
Cindy worked for many years as a Certified Nurses Aide and various other positions. She had a special gift for caring for the elder patients suffering with dementia. Her patience and compassion for her elder friends shined through.
She was raised in Katy, Texas and later in Skidmore, Texas. She enjoyed running track in High School.
Cindy returned to Hutchinson, Kansas with her 3 children. She worked hard to build a life for herself and her children. Her family knew her as a loving, gentle, and devoted mother. She always had an ear for listening and an encouraging word for anyone who needed it. She was a parishioner of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Survivors include: her mother; 2 sons, Thomas James Herzog, Phillip Lee ( Jade) Herzog; 1 daughter, Stephanie Johanna Herzog; 2 sisters, Sandra Ruble and Janelle Anderson; 3 brothers, Bruce, Mark and Randy Ray; 3 cherished grandchildren, Nicole Herzog, Landon Herzog, and James Herzog; nieces and nephews, Randy A. Ray, Chassity Lindeman, Kalli Ray, Chere Anderson, Joe Arfman, Christy Arfman, Jessica Shiveley. She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers, James D. Ray and James " Jim Bob" Ray.
Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
