Obituary

D. June White-Lamb passed away Jan. 1, 2012. June was born June 28, 1917, near Pratt, Kan., to Harry and Lottie Dauner-Singleton. The family moved to the Plevna area in 1919. In 1938, she married Norman D. White. He died in 1970. In 1971, she married Dale Lamb. He died in 1975. She was a secretary at Western Foods Co., and the Hutchinson Credit Bureau. She was a member of First Methodist Church, Wesley Wednesday Sunday School Class, U.M.W., and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #37,serving as Worthy Matron, and Grand Rep. of Kansas in Utah. June is survived by two daughters, Loretta (Patrick) Krause of Arizona and Jane Howell of Texas; a son, Buzz White; a brother, Calvin (Geneva) Singleton, all of Hutchinson; eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Vernon (Peggy) White of St. John. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert White; two sisters, Vera Rose and Laurafe; five brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, Earl, Rosco, and Richard; and her close friend and companion, Lewis McCully. Funeral service will be on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home with committal following at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Reverends Mark Conard and Jeanne Rischel officiating. Donations may be made in June's name to a charity of your choice.
