Dale Allen Sterling was born in Kingman, Kansas on February 27, 1959, to Kenneth Sterling and Sylvia Barton Sterling . He passed away at Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas on September 26, 2026.

He received an associate's degree in engineering, loved working outside, riding his bike, and socializing with his friends at various establishments in town. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved to tell stories to the grandkids. He worked at Sonoco paper mill for 36 1/2 yrs.

Dale is survived by his mother Sylvia Sterling of Hutchinson, sister Sandra Sterling Porter of Salina, brother Brad Sterling of Derby, wife Merina Lamb of Hutchinson, son Brandon Sterling (Heather) of Hutchinson, Candiace Pelkey of Hutchinson, Stephani Otiz-Pelkey (Tori) of Hutchinson, grandkids Brooke Pelkey, Angel Bair, Evelyn Alonso and Xzyrain Ortiz-Pelkey.

He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Sterling on August 31, 1995.
