Danny Ray Chambers, Sr. 63, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away November 13, 2019 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas.   A lifelong  resident of Hutchinson, he was born on June 19, 1956, the son of Hershall Ray and Shirley June Chambers.  He retired in 2016 after 35 years an an employee of the Reno County Public Works Department in Hutchinson, Kansas.

He was a hunting and fishing enthusiast, who loved spending time in the outdoors.  Danny also enjoyed scrapping metal. However, his greatest joy was his family.

On April 12, 1973, he married the love of his life, Linda Jo Beeler, in Hutchinson, Kansas.  She survives of the home after 46 years of marriage.

Survivors include: one son, Danny R., Jr. ( Michelle) Chambers; one daughter, Diana ( Tim) Chambers; brother, Randy (Carol) Chambers; sisters, Cheryl ( Steve) Graves, Carolyn (Doc) King, Pam ( Jim) Postier, Tami ( Mike) Lindt; six grandchildren, Alyssa Canfield, Dalton Chambers, Dylan Chambers, Dallas Chambers, Breanna Canfield, Nathaniel VanWey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A come and go gathering for family and friends will take place from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2019,, at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.

A graveside celebration of life will be held Monday, November 18, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Boulevard, Hutchinson, Kansas, with Pastor Gary Getting presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice house of Reno County, and left in care of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main St., Hutchinson, Kansas.
