Darrel Lynn Warren, 75, passed away August 13, 2018 at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas. Born on January 1, 1943, he was raised in Overbrook, Kansas, the son of Leonard and Thelma Warren. He was a brick mason, but he was a farmer at heart.
A graduate of Overbrook High School, he served in the United States Army. He was a supporter of KU basketball, was a "big" Ford fan, loved to remodel things, enjoyed traditional country and western music, watched all the Court TV shows, and was a classic western John Wayne movie buff. Most of all he loved his family and friends and always asked them to "have a stay."
Survivors include 3 brothers, Larry (Judy), Gerald (Katherine), Gayle (Emma); 2 sisters, Betty and Sherry (Emmett); 2 sons, Darin (Beth) and Jason (Christie); 2 daughters, Jamie and Jessica; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Darla, 1 brother, Gary, 1 brother in law, Frank.
Per his request cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson, Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
