David Eugene Hoefer, 55, passed away at his residence March 5, 2016 in Partridge, Kansas. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas July 7, 1960, the son of Jerry and Joanne Hoefer. He was self-employed in furniture refinishing.

A graduate of Hutchinson High School, he also attended KU. He worked tirelessly as manager for Midland Credit. He loved to read, enjoyed betting and going to casinos. He was a former member of the EMS District 4 in Arlington, and a former volunteer fireman for Partridge, and taught EMS classes at the South Campus for Hutchinson Community College.

He married Hannah Marie Newburn on June 26, 1986 in Overland Park, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2012. He is survived by 1 brother, Doug of Kansas City, Missouri; and close friends, John and Kay Hermes of Hutchinson, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Partridge Community Church, Partridge, Kansas with Pastor Sam Askew presiding. Memorial gifts may be made to the Partridge Volunteer Fire Department.
