Delana Marie Russell, 74, passed away January 5, 2016 at her home in South Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Alfred and Elma Daniel, she was born in Commerce, Oklahoma on August 1, 1941. She was a devoted wife and homemaker to her family.

She was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ, was an avid gardener, enjoyed genealogy research, arts and crafts, and listening to old country and western music.

On April 14, 1962 she married Owen Russell in Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include 3 sons, Steven (Mary) Russell, Brian (Annessa) Russell, and Owen Russell; 2 brothers, Wilburn "Jack" Daniel, Chester "Sonny" Daniel; 1 sister, Leona Dauber, and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Diane, 2 brothers, 3 sisters.

A gathering for friends and family will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 am at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. Burial will take place in North Inman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial in her name and gifts may be made to Eastwood Church of Christ.
