August 1, 1937 – December 8, 2019
Delilah Gwendolyn Manigan, 82, was born August 1, 1937, in Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Charles and Geneva Muns, she attended Hutchinson Public Schools, and loved serving and taking care of patrons that she served as a waitress for numerous restaurants.
She enjoyed nature and was heavily involved in all kinds of outdoor activities. She loved taking care of animals, especially, her dogs and numerous birds that she collected and took care of by feeding them. She also never left a squirrel unfed either. She loved spending time knitting and doing crochet work projects for her family, and it also helped provide extra income for her. Delilah was known in Hutchinson for sitting out in front of her family home selling pop and water to thirsty patrons. She loved making friends and spending time with all of them. In addition, she loved to play Bingo as often as she could. She loved going to the State Fair in Hutchinson, and loved watching nature unfold with the birth of animals and spending time with the horses in the horse barns.
Survivors include: 1 son, Daniel Dean Manigan; 3 daughters, Winnowna Lanam, Leota Kosminski, Lela Beth Hasty; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers, George and Jimmy Muns; 1 sister, Grace Meyers. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Charles, Jessie, and Fredrick Muns, 2 sisters Charlotte Brown and Grace Myers.
A come and go gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 10:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.
