Donald Allen Smith, 61, passed away surrounded by his family on November 2, 2019 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas.  He was born in Scott City, Kansas on May 13, 1958, the son of Roy and Dorothy Smith.  He was a former open store manager for Wendy's here in Hutchinson, Kansas.

An avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, he would watch every game of theirs that he could.  He loved listening to all country music, but was keen to traditional country music.  He was a fantastic bowler, and enjoyed playing on line poker.  He followed KU and K-State sports as well.

In August of 1990 he married Ruth Marie Hoyle in Hutchinson, Kansas.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include 3 sons, Tyler, Brandon, and Derek Smith; 1 sister, Donna Gentry; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at New Resurrection Church, 500 W. Avenue A Street, Hutchinson, Kansas with Pastor Charles Crumble presiding.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made directly to the family, and left in care of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.
