Dorene Byard Calvin, 58, passed away July 13, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born Clarksville, Tennessee on February 14, 1960, she was the daughter of Lee Roy, Sr. and Lillie Mae Powers Byard. A she was a retired waitress from Sunrise Cafe and the Big M restaurant.
A devoted mother to her family, she enjoyed taking time to sip on a good cup of coffee, working puzzles, playing bingo and taking time to visit with her friends.
She married Robert E. Calvin in 1981 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death 2010.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Jessica Byard and Kristy Calvin; 1 son, Robbie Calvin; 1 brother Lee Roy Byard, 1 sister, Julie Myers; 6 grandchildren; numerous friends and acquaintances. She was preceded in death by parents, 1 twin sister, Lorene, 2 other sisters, Freda Byard and Margaret Sue Johnson.
Per her request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to The Father's House Church and left in care of the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, Kansas.
