Dorothy Louise Rhone, 89, passed away June 21, 2018 at Diversicare Health and Rehabilitation Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Richard and Ruth Kriedler, she was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1929. She was a retired elder care provider.
Her family knew her as an avid reader who had a fabulous sense of humor. She would often listen to traditional country western music or her favorite gospel hymns while working on arts and crafts, particularly ceramics. She was a devoted participant to the Shepherd's Center television ministry and always had a good hot cup of coffee in her hands while watching.
In 1953 she married Theodore Rhone in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. They divorced in 1972 and he passed away in May 2007.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Darlene Jorgensen; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Dennis J. Rhone, 1 sister, Lois, 2 brothers, Richard and Glenn.
Cremation has taken place and a gathering for friends and family will be held at a later date.
