Douglas Eugene Philbrick, Sr, 66, passed away September 11, 2013 at his
residence in South Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born in Smith Center, Kansas
on April 30, 1947, the son of Elmer and Lillie Philbrick. He worked as janitor for
several area wide businesses.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he loved painting, ceramics, listening to
classic country music, and, in particular watching John Wayne movies.
He is survived by a son, Douglas E. Philbrick, Jr., of Hutchinson, Ks; 2
daughters, Charlotte and Nancy Philbrick, both from Oklahoma, 1 brother and 1
sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
