Earnest E. "Ernie" Bishop, 95, passed away May 22, 2015 at Pleasant View Home in Inman, Kansas. The son of George and Clara Bishop, he was born November 21, 1919 in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was a retired foreman for Kansas Power and Light.

He married Hazel Dyche on November 7, 1965 in Hutchinson, Kansas. She survives. Together they enjoyed being members of Samboree''s Camping Club. He also was a pig farmer and loved his horses and riding the open Kansas range.

He is survived by 1 step-son, 6 daughters; 4 step-daughters; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Private burial will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial to go to Gentiva Hospice Association, and may be left at the funeral home.
