Roy Edward Borecky, Jr., 66, passed away May 29, 2017 in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born in Great Bend, Kansas, January 11, 1951, the son of Roy E. Borecky, Sr., and Vivian Borecky. He was a retired salesman, entrepreneur, and hustler.
"Fast Eddy" never met a person that he didn''t like. He loved racing and took time to teach his grandson, Kobey, the sport and led him to become the 4th generation of Borecky racers! He enjoyed cooking and smoking meats for family and friends. Eddy could fix anything from a lawnmower to a Ferrari. He had a passion for classic cars, Cushman motorcycles, and, LIFE. He lived today never worrying about tomorrow.
He is survived by 2 sons, Mark (Amy) Borecky of Hutchinson, Kansas, and, Derrick (Sarah) Borecky of South Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 brother, Bill Green of Nickerson, Kansas; 1 sister, Lou Yarborough of Hutchinson, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, and, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Ronnie, 1 sister, Elaine, former wife, Tammy Swafford.
A Celebration of life will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Pastor John VanBruggen presiding, at the Father''s House Church, 1505 E. 20th, Hutchinson, Kansas. Inurnment will follow celebration at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, Kansas. Friends may stop in Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM to sign guest book. In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Fast Eddy Racing memorial fund and gifts may be left in care of Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas
