Edmund H. Miles was born in Hutchinson, KS, on May 1st 1939. He was a pole lineman and Military Police before meeting Margaret I Badders, the love of his life, in 1960. They married in July of that same year, later going on to raise 5 children. They had multiple successful auto repair businesses. He was also a very passionate racecar driver.

He passed away in Hays, KS, on October 17, 2023. He's survived by his wife, Margaret I Miles, 5 children and their spouses, Randy & Darcel Miles of Inman KS, Michael Miles of Inman KS, Richey Miles of Topeka KS, Cynthia Miles of Hutchinson KS and Lanetta and Wes Hylton of Lincoln KS. He is also survived by 9 grandkids, 10 great grandkids, 3 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great nephews & 4 great nieces. He's preceded in death by both parents, Helen & Harold Miles.
