Edward Ivan Newburn, 56, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away February 17, 2020 at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas.  The son of Lee and Helen Newburn, he was a life resident of Hutchinson, born March 17, 1963.

A graduate of Nickerson High School, he loved to work with his hands - he could refurbish furniture, restore vehicles, and create hand made gifts for his siblings, Carolyn, Larry, Ron and Tim.  He was a huge fan of rock 'n' roll music - in particular Styx, Black Sabbath, Kansas, and Collective Soul.  He was a master at barbeque and loved to cook.

Survivors include: a daughter Erin Lee Escobedo ( Magdalena ) of Tuscon, Arizona; 1 sister, Carolyn Johnson of Hutchinson, Kansas; 2 brothers, Ron Newburn ( Laura ) of Hutchinson, Kansas, Larry Newburn ( Beth ) of Hutchinson, Kansas.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Helen Newburn, and 1 brother, Timothy Newburn.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at 1401 Arthur Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.  The family invites all of Ed's friends and acquaintances to come, share food and stories.
