Frances Ilene Lemen, passed away August 28, 2015 at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Emil and Florence Warta, she was born September 16, 1929 in Arlington, Kansas.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she also worked for Sears as a division manager. She taught and mastered the craft of painting, especially landscapes and outdoor features. A member of the Saltcity Cowboy Church in South Hutchinson, she had the ability to turn anything into something beautiful.
In 1946 she married Raymond Lemen in Hutchinson, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 2002. Other survivors include 1 son, Thomas Lemen of Mission, Texas; 1 daughter, Connie Harbold of Hutchinson, Kansas; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Friends may come by the Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas anytime to sign the guest book. The casket will remain closed. Graveside celebration of life will follow at 1:30 pm, at Fairlawn Burial Park with Pastor Monte McFerrin presiding. A reception will follow the service at 718 W. 14th Street, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial and gifts may be may to Hospice of Reno County, Kansas and left in care of Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas.
