Obituary

Frankie Jean Neeley, 89, passed away January 22, 2019 at Mennonite Friendship Communities, in South Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Orlo Russell and Ada Charlien Cooper, she was born September 6, 1929 in Ashland, Kansas.

A dedicated homemaker, Frankie loved to play bingo, enjoyed country dancing, and spending time in the outdoors fishing and camping. She was a member of Elmdale Pioneer Senior Center, and a member of the Cow Creek Oldtime Fiddlers Singers.

On February 14, 1948 she married the love of her life, John Samuel Neeley. He preceded her in death May 24, 2016 after 68 years of marriage.

Survivors include a sister, Melva June (Chet) Ansel, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Elmdale Senior Center or Westside Baptist Church and left in care of the funeral home. Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson, Kansas is in charge of local arrangements.
