Fred M. Kaufman, Sr., 95, passed away August 22, 2013 at Mennonite
Friendship Community, in South Hutchinson. He was born January 7, 1918 in
Medora, Kansas, the son of Martin and Margaret Kaufman.
A carpenter by trade, he enjoyed the outdoors, and was a proficient fisherman.
His family was the center of his life and he was there to guide and teach every
member the value of honesty and integrity.
On March 6, 1947, he married Wanda Mashburn in Hutchinson, Kansas. She
survives. Other survivors include 2 sons, Fred (Juanita) and Ron (Linda); 2
daughters, Patty Jean (Doug), and Sue (Fred); 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren,
and 16 great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his parents, a daughter, Gail; 1 brother, Harold.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life announced at
a later date. The family has requested that memorial gifts can be made to
Mennonite Friendship Communities and left in care of Old Mission - Heritage
Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Ks.
