Gary Willard Finnell, 81, passed away June 28, 2018 at Diversicare Health and Rehabilitation in Hutchinson, Kansas. A native of Hutchinson, he was born December 18, 1936, the son of Willard and Viola Finnell. He was a retired commercial baker.
When he wasn't fishing, he could be found tending to his vegetable gardens. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he also belonged to the Royal Order of the Moose. An avid Kansas City Royals fan, he loved to dance to his favorite country western music.
He was married to Maureen Jean Dahlman and she preceded him in death. He later married Patricia Schoeller and she preceded him in death as well.
Survivors include 2 sons, Joe Finnell and Jon Gary Finnell; 1 brother, Irl (Butch) Finnell; 1 sister, Delva Lee Sprague; 2 granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Darlene.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside celebration of life will be held at a later date.
