George W. Barnes, 85, died Mar. 5, 2014. He was born May 20, 1928 to Clarence Barnes and Cora Smith in Hutchinson, KS.
George was a published singer and songwriter and had a passion for sharing his music. One of his favorite accomplishments was singing on the Grand Ole Opry. George retired from Eaton and was a member of Full Gospel Chapel of Prayer.

Survivors Include: one son, two daughters, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and two sisters.

George was preceded in death by a son, parents, three brothers, three sisters and two half sisters.
Memorial services will be 10a, Mar. 8, 2014 at Old Mission Heritage Funeral Home 528 N. Main St. Hutchinson with Pastor Jerry Stokely presiding.
Public viewing 4p-8p Friday 7th with family to receive friends from 6p-8p. Burial will be at Fairlawn. Memorials can be made to the Full Gospel Fellowship Church, 501 E Ave. C, Hutchinson or Smile Train www.smiletrain.org.
