George Leon Kocher, 77, of Hutchinson, Kansas passed away on September 6th, 2026. He was born on April 4th, 1949 to Clarence Floyd Kocher and Marie Hancock.

Throughout his life, George worked in maintenance. In his free time, he enjoyed mechanic work, hunting, bowling on the Wii, and above all else, he enjoyed helping others. He was also proud to be part of the VFW and American Legion. George served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. 

George is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Kocher; parents, Clarence Kocher and Marie Hancock; and many siblings.

He is survived by his children, Gail Kocher, Victor Kocher, and Georgianna Githens; grandchildren, Shanee Kocher and Blake Kocher; great-grandchildren, Tayleighiia Gales,Tajtijana Gales, and Delainee Bagby; and brother, Eddie Kocher.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 26th at the American Legion located at 730 W 4th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
