Hazel May Lowe was born to Robert and Buelah (Powers) Lashley, February 1, 1936, in Island, Kentucky. She passed at home in Hutchinson, Kansas, July 3, 2024.

Hazel is survived by her daughters, Sally Jennings, Dorothy Bird, Josephine Gilton, Ruth Striplin, sons, Vernon Buster Lowe, Jim E Lowe, and Billy Lee Lowe, her brother Roscoe Lashley, and numerous grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Buelah, and her husband of 48 years, Vernon Leroy Lowe.

Hazel loved the outdoors and her family. She was always a homemaker and loved taking care of children. She was a true farm girl who enjoyed that lifestyle, from raising chickens and milking cows to gardening or fishing.
