Mrs. Helen Marie Parker,  age 103, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021.  She was born on September 7, 1918 in Arkansas City, Kansas, a daughter of the late Richard Jack and Jessie Irene Mayfield.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles Parker; four sons, Robert Wellke, Ralph Wellke, Charles Parker and Roy Parker; and one daughter, Kay Noble.

Helen was a dedicated member of the Salvation Army Church and a homemaker.  Helen enjoyed crocheting hundred of beautiful afghans for her family and donating many to nursing homes.  She truly cherished spending quality time with her family.  She was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman.  We will miss her everyday.

Helen is survived by two daughters and one son,  Irene Vincent ( Gary) of Hutchinson, KS, Joe Parker ( Ila) of Pahrump, NV and Marie Cheney ( Rick) of San Luis Obispo, CA.  She also leaves numerous other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

A visitation will be at 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., September 28, 2021, at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., September 29, 2021 at the Salvation Army Church, 700 North Walnut, Hutchinson, Kansas with Major John McCarty and Major Paul James officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, Kansas.
