HIllary Frances Zimmer, 71, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Medical Lodges in Great Bend, Kansas.  Hillary was born on March 15, 1950 in LaCrosse, Kansas to Francis J. Zimmer and Rose M. Zimmer.  He attended school and graduated from LaCrosse, Kansas.

He married Toni Broce in 1973 and divorced in 1976.  To this union he had two children, Malissia and Kristopher.

He married Roberta Wilhelm on January 4, 1982, and they became long time residents of Ellinwood, Kansas.  The couple shared 39 years of marriage together before he passed.

Hillary worked 30+ years for Central Kansas Medical Center in the laundry department and grounds department.  His passion was woodworking, gardening, beekeeping, collecting cans and spending time outdoors.

Survivors include a wife, Roberta Zimmer of Ellinwood, Kansas daughter Malissia D. Pflughoeft, Albert, Kansas, daughter Janelle K. Holle and husband Greg of Beatrice, Nebraska, daughter Rhonda J. Zimmer of Ellinwood, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Hillary was preceded in death by his son Kristopher C. Zimmer and a sister Delores M. Andrews.

Hillary will be remembered for being a faithful, steadfast, and hardworking husband, father, and grandfather.

A celebration of life will be held August 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 4:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 300 West 1st in Ellinwood, Kansas.
