Jacob David "J.D." Combs, 74, passed away March 10, 2015 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. A lifelong Kansan, he was born in Turon, Kansas August 5, 1940, the son of Bert and Myrl Combs. He was a retired over the road truck driver.

He was a member of the Langdon Christian Church, loved taking care of his horses and cattle, and was always known for a quick smile and a funny joke. His family was the heart and soul of his life and he always was there to nurture, love, guide his kids and his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice. Other survivors include: 1 daughter; 3 sons; 1 sister; 12 grandchildren; and, 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and, 2 sisters.

Public visitation for friends will be Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10 :00 AM with a time of reflection to be held at 12:00 PM at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas.
