August 23, 1945 – August 17, 2021
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Jacqueline ( Jackie) Jean Crossman, 75, who went to the arms of the Lord on August 17, 2021. She was born August 23, 1945 in Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Dorothy and Allen Manche.
She enjoyed baking, teaching arts and crafts, collecting glassware, traveling and walking in the park. She never met a stranger and loved helping her family and friends whenever she could. She dedicated her life to her family and to working with children to give them the best and happiest life possible regardless of their circumstances.
Jackie is survived by her seven children: Lori Lyons of Hastings, NE, Rick Bright of Washington, D.C., Lee Crossman, Terry Crossman, Jr., Matthew Crossman, Melissa Hartle, all of Hutchinson, KS, Michael Crossman of Owasso, OK; her sister Donna Sallee and five brothers; Tom, Lonnie, Clifford, Edwin, and Daniel Manche; her great aunt Gwen De Stefan of Boynton Beach, FL; and her 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy ( Osenbaugh) Manche Osborn; her father Allen Manche; her brother,Terry Manche; and sisters Judith Mackey, Carol Stoughton, and Alisa Manche.
A gathering for friends and family will be Sunday, August 22, 2021 between 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, followed by a graveside internment at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Cards and memorials can be sent in her name to Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home. Charitable donations are suggested to be directed to the Boys and Girls Club of Hutchinson.
Please be aware of guidelines regarding protection from COVID. Protective face masks are recommended and will be available at the funeral home if needed.
