James Luke Cedeno, 38, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away January 17, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  He was born on October 22, 1983, in Lyons, Kansas, to James M. Cedeno and Devona Burdette.

James graduated from Lyons High School in 2002 and attended Barton County Community College, Hutchinson Community College, and was a graduate of The Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science.  James was a licensed funeral director and embalmer of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home in Hutchinson.  He enjoyed gunsmithing and reading in his spare time.

He is survived by his parents, James M. Cedeno ( Cathy) and Devona Belt; siblings, Megan Simon ( Ian), Andrew Cedeno ( Katie), and Jordan Cedeno; nephews, Kolyn Simon, Rhett Simon, Conner Cedeno, and unborn nephew, Elias Cedeno; grandparents, Dale and Rosie Dressel.

James was preceded in death by his grandparents; Joseph L. and Amelia Cedeno, Dennis Burdette and his beloved canine friends, Smokey and Wolfgang.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chase, Kansas with Father Michael Brungardt officiating.
