James K. Easter, 68, passed away on November 8, 2024 at the Friendship Mennonite Manor in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born March 15, 1956 in Newton, Kansas to Robert A. and Maxine Easter.  James worked as a school bus driver and volunteer Fireman of Deer Mountain Colorado and he also received the John Denver Environmental Award. James "Jamie" is survived by his children, Jonathon, of Cedar Springs, MI, Allison (Ryan) Bell, of Cotopaxi, CO, Vicki Easter, of Lincoln, NE and  Miley of Canon City, CO; sisters, Debra Riead of WA, Jody (Gary) Rivers and Benjaneen Easter and brother in law, Jorge Fernandez.  He is preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth; infant son, James; brother, Robert W. Easter; sister, Lynelle Fernandez; parents, Robert A. and Maxine Easter and grandparents, Benjamin A. and Pearl Easter. A memorial service will be November 23, 2024, 1 pm at Burrton Cemetery in Burrton, Kansas.
