James " Jim" Dale McDaniel, 80, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away at his home on October 28, 2020.  The son of Jack and Thelma McDaniel, he was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on October 26, 1940.  He retired from Williams Natural Gas.

A veteran of the United States Navy, his family knew him as an avid gardener.  Spending time with his grandchildren was his life and they meant the world to him.

On May 15, 1976 he married Phyllis Sue Radke.  She preceded him in death on March 3, 2015.

Survivors include; 3 daughters, Angie ( Mike) Kallaus, Deanna Wynn ( Cord Coslor), Jennie ( Steve) Stock; 3 sons, Dwight Voth, James and Jeff; 1 brother, Jerry (Deb) McDaniel; 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Mikey, Cierra, Christopher, Tyler, Morgan, Michael Dale, Madison, and McKenzie; and significant others; 6 great grandchildren, Sylas, Cohen, Kae, Cayden, Parker, and Alessa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and 1 daughter, Jackie.

Cremation has taken place and due to the COVID 19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
