Obituary

James "Jimmy" Lanham, was born July 1, 1933, in St. John, Kansas, to Ruthford Beasley and Gladys Lanham. He passed away March 29, 2025, in South Hutchinson, Kansas. James was an avid wood carver, he won blue ribbons in the state fair 3 years in a row. He enjoyed fishing and camping and being outside. James was active with the local VFW. He played the cadence drum while serving in the Army and continued to enjoy listening to music and playing his drum set. He was also an avid square dancer with his wife, Juanita. James loved being with his family and he was a quiet man who modeled a life of integrity, compassion, patience, unwavering support and unconditional love. He is survived by his daughters, Lynnita Harris, Carolyn Harris and Lisa Cokeley (Cy), multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Lanham; daughter; siblings and 1 grandchild. Donations may be made to the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church in his honor. Graveside services are pending.
