Janet Kay ( Long) Gibson passed away at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center on June 28, 2021.  She was born to Elbert O. and V. Ruth ( Tuttle) Long on July 7, 1948 in Whitewater, Kansas.  She graduated from Frederick Remington High School in 1967.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Gibson.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Judy McDiffett , and infant brother Donald Long.

Survivors include brothers-in-law, Richard McDiffett, Newton, Kansas, James ( Jimmy) Gibson of Memphis, Tennessee, Robert ( Bobby) Gibson of Lindale, Texas; sisters-in-law, Margaret Norton of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Mary Gibson of South Hutchinson, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Hutchinson Fire & EMS for the time and care they gave Janet over the past year.

Memorial service will be at Riverside Baptist Church were she was a member on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
