Janet Elizabeth Thomas, 86, passed away January 19, 2019 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on February 6, 1932, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Roland and Maude Banks Fuller. She was a dedicated homemaker to her family.

Janet moved from Hutchinson, Kansas to Compton, California in 1971 and returned to Hutchinson in 1993. She became a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in South Hutchinson, Kansas. She loved playing bingo with her family and friends, and could be spotted on occasion at the Kansas Star Casino.

She was married to Henry A. Thomas and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1961.

Survivors include: 1 son, Wesley Thomas of Los Angeles, California; 3 grandchildren, Sheldon, Calvin, and Regina Thomas; and 7 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; 2 special caretaker cousins, Wetona Tolson and Stanley Murdock. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, Monte, Louis, Henry, LeRoy, and Bill Fuller; 1 sister, Pearl Tipton.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with Father Juan Garza leading the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. A graveside celebration of life will follow on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Juan Garza officiating, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, Kansas. Memorial gifts may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and left in care of the funeral home.
