Jessie Jo Powers, 83, passed away surrounded by her loving family, December 13, 2017 at hospice House of Reno County, Kansas, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born in Palo Pinto, Texas on September 6, 1934, the daughter of John and Ozella Grisham. She was a retired nurse''s aide at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchison, Kansas.

An avid collector of salt and pepper shakers, she not only served as a dedicated caregiver to her patients, but, her family was her life. She loved spending time camping, boating and fishing.

On October 9, 1954 she married Lonnie D. Powers in Clayton, New Mexico. He survives.

Other survivors include 1 son, David Dautenhahn; 3 daughters, Deloris (William) Goheen, Jessie (Tim) Lee, Patty (Greg) Thille-White; 1 brother, Willie Ray (Maxine) Grisham; 1 sister, Ida Mae O''Donnell; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, and 1 brother.

A Celebration of Life for Jessie will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Carey Park Gazebo from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.. All friends & family are encouraged to come celebrate & share memories.
